Wedding Photography, Lake Currimundi, Sunshine Coast...

This is Kylie & Daren's backyard wedding - held at Lake Currimundi here on the Sunshine Coast in the back garden of Darren's parents beach house where they had spent many a summer holiday. It was an awesome day...and yes it did rain but the weather, as always, is just a minor part of the day. And in any case these two were so cool that it didn't, and never was, going to phase them - yeah they got wet, stood in the mud at the water's edge and they even climbed a tree!
I loved this wedding day and feel very honoured to have been a part of it.
Kylie & Darren - I wish you much continued health and happiness and thank you for having me there.
The wedding ceremony was by the beautiful Kari, flowers and decor by friends and family.

Noosa Beach Wedding Photographer gets wet....

One rainy Tuesday in February Tiffany and Todd got married in front of their close friends and family. A beautiful part of the ceremony was the pouring of coloured sands by the two of them and their children and they all made promises to each other. The wedding ceremony was undercover at Rickys in Gympie Terrace due to the...ahem...slight inclement weather. The celebrant was Ann Hills.

Neither the wet weather nor the gusty winds were going to deter us from heading onto the famouse Noosa Main Beach for bridal party photographs...oh no. And I'm so glad too, otherwise the shot above wouldn't have been made. Congratulations to all 4 of you and thank you for having there to capture your special day. These are some of my favourite shots from the day...

A Beautiful Rainy Noosa Wedding...

For whatever reason the ceremony time was set for 3.30 in the afternoon it turned out to be the right one. A half hour or hour earlier the decision to switch to the Noosa Riverboat might not have been made (I did happen across another Noosa wedding photographer who was drenched as her wedding was at 3pm on the beach in the middle of the downpour). My philosophy is that whatever happens happens and things usually work out in the end..and so they did. First Class Functions did an amazing job of turning the river boat into a floating chapel and it looked beautiful and if we hadn't had the storm we might not have had the beautiful sunset we had either (and storm clouds look great in photos anyway!).
The boys got ready at the French Quarters and the girls at a penthouse suite in the Noosa Sheraton.
The celebrant was Stephanie Neal and the reception was at Rickys Restaurant...oh and their dog was the ring bearer!
Congratulations to the both of you, I wish you health and happiness x
